About the Event
AASE NSW welcomes you to the 2022 National Conference, Building Bridges: Research to Practice, Practice to Progress! A goal of our Conference is to help educators implement educational strategies.
To adapt to the changing landscape for the delivery of professional development for members, the AASE 2022 Conference will be delivered in a hybrid format - in-person at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC) and online using the OnAIR virtual conferencing platform. We are excited to be returning to Sydney, to the ICC situated in the beautiful Darling Harbour, on the lands of the Gadigal peoples of the Eora Nation. This landmark harbourside venue offers easy access to the iconic Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
The ICC is the ultimate venue, with very generous face-to-face and state-of-the-art virtual conference facilities, comfortable eating spaces, plenty of parking and easy access to public transport. Hotel Accommodation is just across the road and provides fabulous accommodation and a more intimate space for the post-conference Masterclass workshops.
The Conference will be held at the ICC and online from Sunday, 11th to Monday, 12th September 2022. The Full Conference will comprise of two days of Conference presentations, a Conference Dinner on Sunday, 11th September and a series of Masterclass events on Tuesday, 13th September featuring our international keynote speakers.
Our Conference theme is "Building bridges: research to practice, practice to progress". The simple metaphor of "bridges" reflects the ongoing connection between evidence, practice and progress. Utilising a diverse range of presentation medium, the Conference themes will engage participants in the exploration of practical solutions based on real issues, from a variety of specialised fields. As always, the Conference will provide opportunities for educators, families, community members and key stakeholders to come together to collaborate, share knowledge and learn together.
