Free Virtual Classrooms and Professional Development for the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence
The Education and Training team within the eSafety Commisioner has created professional learning and a series of free Virtual Classroom webinars to support educators and families as part of the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence in August 2023.
FOR THE CLASSROOM
There will be 3 x 45-minute Virtual Classroom webinars for middle-upper primary (Yrs 3 – 6) classrooms inclusive of in-class resources. The events will be hosted at the following days/times (AEST):
· 16 August 2023: 2:00 – 2:45 PM
· 18 August 2023: 9:30 – 10:15 AM
· 18 August 2023: 2:00 – 2:45 PM
Registrations are open for teachers to register their class for the free Virtual Classroom, Be an eSafe kid: Take action against online bullying.
FOR FAMILIES
A series of webinars are available for families including:
eSafety 101: How eSafety can help you, for parents and carers of young people in primary and secondary school.
Online boundaries and consent, for parents and carers of young people in primary school.
Getting the most out of gaming, for parents and carers of children aged 7 to 14.
Online relationships and consent: Sending nudes and sexting, for parents and carers of young people in secondary school.
Getting started with social media: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, for parents and carers of young people in primary school.
